As relative newcomers to Vermont, it has been such a joy to see the kids embracing camping in Vermont state parks as core childhood memories. This summer we camped at a remote site for the first time, at Kettle Pond. The kids loved having the freedom to jump in the kayak and head off to have an adventure of their own design, and we cherished the knowledge that together we were building memories of collaboration, resilience, and beauty for them to lean on as they make their way through life.
