Girl Scout Senior Roundup

In 1962, 10,000 Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from around the world attended the Girl Scout Senior Roundup at what would become Button Bay State Park. The initial site development was a collaborative effort of the Girl Scouts of the USA, VT State Parks, and the Army Corps of Engineers. After we left, Button Bay State Park was created, and I and my Girl Scout sisters still enjoy camping on the shores of Lake Champlain.

Thank you, VT State Parks, for helping to create the site and now for preserving the history of this event by creating a special exhibit about the Roundup.
