During their summer school vacations when my children were growing up, I would take them to Burton Island for 4 days to give their Mom a well deserved break. We always made getting our reservations an after Christmas event because after the first trip we had a list of our favorite sites that we wanted to try and we had figured out that the best sites went fast. Getting ready to go was also a fun ritual since as the years went by we considered ourselves Burton Island life experts and my kids loved coming up with new ways to make the whole experience better & more fun. They’re both grown now and every so often I send them some photos of the many memories we made on those trips. Burton is fantastic, thank you Vermont State Parks!
