We are very grateful to report that the Stone Hut has been rebuilt in time for the 2016/17 season! Thank you to all of our donors, Vermont State Parks staff, and the amazing craftspeople who rebuilt this beautiful hut to be just like it used to be. View pictures from the ribbon cutting!
Vermont Parks Forever has raised $3,000 to purchase state park passes for 100 foster families. The passes give families free day access to state parks and ensure children and youth in foster care are able to experience all that Vermont State Parks have to offer!
Thank you Lisa Cashdan and Peter Stein, the Charles P. Ferro Foundation, and the Alchemist Brewery for making this gift of park passes possible.
We are saddened to report that the beloved Stone Hut, built in 1936 on Mt. Mansfield, was seriously damaged by fire on December 24, 2015. We are accepting online donations to restore this iconic Civilian Conservation Corps structure that has been enjoyed for generations.
